Spring Term
As the spring term begins, we are learning about species, endangered animals and the work of scientist Charles Darwin.
We have looked at samples from sketches made from his voyage on HMS Beagle, and had a go at observational drawings. See our art in the gallery.
We have mapped his voyage and studied the volcanic Galapagos islands.
We have also met some special creatures! Check out the gallery for some photos of our encounters.
We have research and written biographies, like the text we have read about Darwin's life.
We have researched the impact of climate change and human activity on the planet, finding out about a creature that is currently endangered.
We have written non-chronological reports on the creatures we have learnt about.
Bird Boxes
The Quantock Landscape Partnership Team invited some children to destine a bird box in whatever colour they wished to be placed around the area at various church sites and other locations.
Here are the children's designs:
After designing the boxes, the group painted their designs during lunch times.
The boxes were then collected by the team and we look forward to seeing them in place!
